What is a side-loader and when do I need one?

Short answer

A side-loader is a truck with cranes that lift the container off the trailer and onto the ground. You need one when your site has no loading dock or forklift for unloading from a trailer, or when you want to keep the container on site for a while.

The detail

Side-loaders cost more than standard deliveries and need enough space alongside the truck to operate.

Keeping a container on site can add detention charges, so plan unloading times carefully.
